I am a professional pedal steel guitarist, known as "Wiz," currently operating out of Mid-Michigan. I've been playing steel guitar professionally since 1974, with various bands across the USA and Canada. Some of my gigs are Classic and Traditional Country, others are Modern/New Country, and still others are Outlaw Country and Southern Rock. I frequently work with recording artists who do original songs, or their own version of chart songs.
Notice! I am available and looking for freelance gigs and recording sessions! Please check my gig schedule below to see if I am already booked on the days you need someone to play steel guitar. Contact me if you know of a paying gig for a pedal steel guitarist, within 60 miles of downtown Flint, Mi.
I've been asked if I only do freelance gigs. The answer is a qualified no. I am willing to officially join a working band to whom I will give preference in the event of a double booking, or which has enough work that I don't need to freelance any more. Contact me if you are prepared to offer me a steady position as your steel player.
Are you planning to go into the studio anywhere in Mid-Michigan? If so please consider hiring me to play pedal steel tracks on your sessions. I can do overdub or live cuts, plus multi-track effects.

I also post my gig schedule and availablity on my Facebook account as bookings are confirmed. I get many of my bookings through through Facebook and Messenger and they are the best way to reach out to me about gigs if you are on Facebook.
